For feature films and television these days, Final Cut is ABSOLUTELY the industry standard. Oh and in the 8 years I've lived in Hollywood, I never met one person in the industry who uses a Windows PC (maybe a writer or two).
I never killed anyone (maybe a fanboy or two) lol

I don't know if this was listen but i was browseing the apple downloads page and came across this (http://www.objectpark.net/)
it puts a mini ical icon in the task bar. Once clicked, a mini calender pops up and u can hover over the dates and it shows whats scheduled. I like because it shows the real date in the task bar for easy refference. Check it out

I don't think that they should include the ipod touch. There is no android equivalent. iOS has been out longer too, they will have previous market saturation (android released october 2008 more than a year after iOS). We need to look at the growth numbers.
I like how they can track individual users (scares me).
Why not include the iPod touch? That doesn't even make sense to exclude. It is a portable platform that is on hardware worth more than a majority of Android devices that get counted.

still not worth it.
But for those of you that it is worth it (or have money enough to not care), and are clamoring about an iCal feature, Leopard server has some of that stuff in there, so who knows, it may also be in the works.

Does anyone have a monitor or LCD TV that they want to sell? I have been looking around and decided to check here before making a purchase. Make me an offer, or suggest somewhere with a great deal on LCD monitors right now

That's just off the top of my head.
Those are just arbitrary incompatibilities.
Hardware limitations. If your computer doesn't have a Wacom pad attached, you can't run software that requires that piece of hardware. It doesn't mean you're running a different OS.
You can still run the software. You just cant do certain things. An ipad specific app can never work on an ipod touch
And do you really think OS are infinitely backward-compatible? Good luck with that... Of course I dont think that.

It is true that some information that came from normal interrogation approaches at Guantanamo did lead to information that was beneficial in this instance. But it was not harsh treatment and it was not waterboarding.”

A survey of A.C.E. members (American Cinema Editors), who mainly work on 'Hollywood' TV shows and movies, taken around the same time showed that about 80% of members used Avid while about 10% used FCP.

VW has had some nasty problems, especially in the electronics dept. I believe they are getting better, though I haven't seen any recent news on it. Fiat seems to have been a blessing for Chrysler.
Two points:
1. I agree about the electrics, to an extent. Years ago, my old man bought an '88 Jetta, and it had two main problems - the electrical systems were horrible, and the body was not properly galvanized. It rusted before our eyes (hole in the floor after just 5 years) and most of the major electrical subsystems needed replacement within 5 years. However, it's worth noting that the Mexican-built VWs and the German-made VWs are quite different in quality. I may be wrong, but I believe that US-market GTIs are still made in Germany, and are the most reliable of the bunch. Several other VW-owning friends of mine have experienced a couple electrical gremlins here or there, but in terms of quality I'd still put VW's cars over the American Big Three for the most part. The interiors especially were superior.
2. Funny that you point out FIAT as a bringer of quality to Chryselr...Chrysler must be pretty bad if that's the case, as FIAT has a reputation for making sensationally unrealiable cars. I'll concede that they have improved dramatically in the last ten years, but you know what I mean. For me, the best thing about FIAT's new relationship with Chrysler will be the arrival of FIATs in the USA and access to FIAT's small car (particularly diesel - fingers crossed) technology.
Of course bland sells in the mid-size market. The Accord and Camry are the largest selling cars in the US.
I consider myself a bit of an automotive enthusaist, and I distinguish between autos that are intended to be appliances(Camry/Accord/Corolla/Minivans/basic Pickups etc etc) versus autos that are intended to be driven by enthusiasts.
The Jetta was always kind of borderline between the two categories, but the VR6 and turbo models were definitely budget enthusiast cars. The same could be said about the Passat as a luxury car. With the new versions, I think they are decidely more "appliance" and less "driver's car".
Think VW USA is missing the mark at what made VW a drivers car in the end.... this one looks cheap to me :(
VW's core customer base is yuppies and budget driving enthusiasts (with a smattering of tuners thrown in for good measure). Most of those people will probably not like the new version as much as the old. But, to be fair, VW's stated goal is to sell this new Passat to new people, to expand the customer base. So that necessarily involved some dumbing-down. We'll see if the gamble pays off.

I don't think that I'm physically able to give blood.
I had to get 2 of those small vials they use for blood tests, and I couldn't even walk and passed out. That is not a lot of blood.
I don't weigh very much (107 lbs 5'8"). Is this normal or something about which I should be concerned?

It uses a 6-to-6 Firewire cable plus a power supply and is compatible with both Mac and Windows. Your Dell would need a Firewire port or the ability to install a Firewire expansion card. Software should be available for download at the lacie.com website. If you don't have the power supply maybe LaCie support (or Radio Shack) can help you out.

Haven't listened to them for quite some and accidentally stumbled upon their new LP "There Is No Enemy". Damn did I miss these guys. I loaded the new album on my iPod for a quick listen for my 5min hike to the store. Well I ended up walking around for like 45mins totally spaced and only came to when the cd ended. All in all, good walk - great cd.;)
